Here you'll find the real lives of ordinary people: haywards, ale tasters, gong farmers, parish clerks, wandering geese and all the wonderfully strange details that made medieval villages tick.
Many of the stories you'll find here have also found their way into my fictional medieval village, Middle Woe, where medieval life is celebrated with a healthy dose of humour.
